Reactivating adwords account

I deactived my adwords account and within a minute, I was on the phone to an adwords specialist asking advice on how to reinstate it.  He told me to remove and re-input my billing details.  Some 10 hours later it still is not active - when I click on the keywords it says ad is not running because account is closed.  What happens now??

I won't ask why you deactivated and then a minute later wanted to reactivate :-)

Did you follow the exact instructions as seen here:

https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/2375392?hl=en

They are pretty similar to what G told you on the phone, but maybe you actually have to click the link in the red bar to change your billing, instead of going in via the preferences tab?

Also what is your billing method? If it's invoicing or bank transfer then these typically take longer to set up than credit card payments, so perhaps you won't be reactivated until G verifies your new billing.

If it still takes ages I'd just advise that you re-contact support and tell them you've followed all the steps. They can probably flick a switch.
