Product Listing - Auto Target How to Determine CPC

Hi

We have setup an All Products for Product Listing Ads. We would like to use auto target for a set of product type we wouldn't mind having a higher bid for compare to all products. How do we determine what CPC we should bid?

Many Thanks

Hello Hoa T !

Since PLA is a "Search campaign" using mainly keywords from your titles and descriptions, you could do a CPC research using the keyword tool after adding the "approximate CPC" column. This is available only from your account, not using the external keyword tool.

Don't be confused by the fact that the AdWords interface in the PLA campaign setup allows you to insert keywords. That happens because in a PLA campaign you can edit and run text ads also and they are the only ones that need keywords for targeting search terms.

Also learn to use the "search term report" in order to see what people typed in the search engine:

and if they typed a word that was not useful for your targeting , PLA allows the use of negative words.

there are also videoresources like this one about optimising PLA

The new tool that will soon replace the keyword tool is called Keyword planner, you can read about it here :
