Placement Exclusion for a YouTube Channel
I run ads on YouTube, and I want to exclude them from showing up on all videos posted by a certain user (or on that user's channel page). I could do this by adding each individual video to the Placement Exclusion list, but they have 100+ and frequently upload more, so is it possible to reference just the channel?
I tried adding "youtube.com::afv_user_exampleuser" to the Placement Exclusion list but got error: "These entries could not be added due to the following reasons: Placement URLs must be provided in a valid URL format".
Re: Placement Exclusion for a YouTube Channel
Are you using the correct formats?
- Videos: Use the URL format www.youtube.com/video/[VIDEO ID]. For example: www.youtube.com/video/12345abcdefgHIJwhere 12345abcdefgHIJ is the ID of the video. You can find the ID of the video by looking at the URL of the actual video while watching it on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12345abcdefgHIJ. ((The video ID is the long alpha-numeric code within the Watch page URL after 'v='.)
- Channel pages: Enter the URL of the channel. For example: www.youtube.com/user/UserName. To exclude all the video content within a channel, you'll need to exclude each video individually.
