Paused ad won't stop running

I have an two ads within an ad group. I paused the first ad at least 36 hours ago because I wanted to run the second ad exclusively. The paused ad has not stopped running - it has had over 12000 impressions and I have been charged for 19 clicks today alone... many many hours after I paused the ad.

(The unpaused ad, on the other hand, has gathered a measly 48 impressions)

How do I get this ad to stop running? <_<

Hi there;
The ad  "stooped" to appear the moment you paused it. The impressions you see are impressions for the time period before pausing the ads. It takes a while for all servers to sync, and the data to be fully updated.

Hi, Thanks for the reply. It doesn't seem like that is the issue though, and I believe there is some sort of glitch with this ad.

It takes two whole days for the servers to sync?

I paused this ad at 4AM on the 14th... it is 7PM on the 15th and it is still gaining impressions and charging me for clicks dated the 15th. That just seems very strange to me..

Well... Then a specialist needs to look into the account activities, and figure the exact time the ad paused and why clicks continued to be incurred.
The best would be to call customer support.

Actually, MosheTLV is correct and this is probably data from previous impressions showing up.

And, yes, it can take 48 hours for all data to be posted to a campaign, especially if you're advertising on the Display network. It's not that Google's servers take that long to gather & post the data, it's that some information is provided back to the system by the participating websites and that is where a lot of the time lag can take place.
