Negative match keywords

Hello, Does the negative match keywords take multiple word keywords as a single unit or as two individual units (in the case of two word negative keywords)? For example, If I used the keyword "Free Mobile" as a negative keyword (-Free Mobile), Does it exclude ads containing the two words "Free Mobile" and stop at that or Does it also take the two words as unique units and stop ads for "Free" and "Mobile" individual keywords?

If that is so, Will I have to use Negative broad match (-[Free Mobile]) to avoid it taking the two word keyword as two single units?

Hi,

Negative keywords free mobile will stop searches free mobile so you don't have to worry about it.

It won't stop free or mobile searches. separately.

Hi Manoj S,

As broad match, (-Free Mobile) would block ad impressions for queries with both words and for queries with either word.

As pharase match (-"free mobile") would block impressions for queries that include both words in that specific order.

As exact match (-[Free mobile]), would block impressions for queries that are exactly "Free mobile" and not other words in the query.

Best of Luck!

Pete

"As broad match, (-Free Mobile) would block ad impressions for queries with both words and for queries with either word."

And for queries with either word? You mean it blocks ads for queries which contain the single word "Free" and for queries which contain the word "Mobile"?

The first person who replied the to the thread said otherwise!

Thank you StructuredPPC! So you are right and Petebardo is wrong by saying "either word would block ad impressions for the query".
