Mobile Bid

Hi Again,

I having a situation here.

I am running a display campaign targeting both desktop and mobile/Tablets.

In process of my optimization I figured that clicks from Mobile/Tablets are not converting well, so I decided to restrict a little of mobile phone traffic and I did a bid decrease -50% for mobile traffic.

So as a result mobile traffic went down, also I was expecting an overall decrease in traffic,(as I eliminated half of mobile traffic ) however I figured traffic is gone high from desktops/computers.

Does Google use all my money even if I have eliminated traffic from a certain medium?

I am little confused about this.

Hi Suryakant,

Welcome to adwords community.
Display ads works ads a branding purpose. If your getting click from mobile device but your are not getting conversion then you will decrease bid on mobile device. If you have decrease bid in mobile device then automatically you click will be increases in desktop or tablets and your entire budget will be spend on desktop.

Hi Suryakant,

Just want to point out, as Suman implied in his answer, Tablets are grouped with desktops for device type, so lowering your bid on mobile devices does not lower your bid for tablets. There's no way to bid separately on tablets and desktops.

I'd take a look at your site design and how easy or difficult it is to use your site on a mobile device. If your site doesn't use a "responsive" design, it could be very difficult to navigate.

BEst of Luck!

Thanks Pete,

My site is responsive and mobile friendly.

Problem I am facing is even I eliminated traffic from mobile all my money is consumed by desktop click. So in other words my desktops clicks has gone up since I restricted mobile traffic this something I am not able to understand.

If I restricted a medium the overall traffic should go down, this what I though.
