Low CTR due to Display Network Ad effect performace of All Campaigns?

Hi,

Since yesterday I'm running a "Display Network Ad" (Youtube).

Now my CTR has dropped to 0.33% from about 5% it used to be.

I just want to know,

Would this low CTR will effect performance of my all other campaigns or my Adwords Account? (1 Website)

Regards,

Xeont

Hi,

You don't have to worry about the Display Network CTR crippling out Search Network CTR. They are treated separately, and the reports can be segmented by [Network] -> In this way you will see the CTR for Search Network and Display Network separately (not averaged)

Here is a quote from Adwords Help section:

Quality Score is evaluated depending on where your ad appears, meaning that you have a different Quality Score on Search and Display Network sites, as well as a slightly different formula for mobile devices.

However, if you have poor Display Network CTR you should worry about it. Here it's even easier, you can enable the Relative CTR column and see how well you do vs your competitors. Then take some action and compare results.
