Limits on Proximity Targeting

Visitor ✭ ✭ ✭

My client has 900+ brick and mortar locations across the US, and we would like to proximity target all of them. Currently we are using AdWords API scripts to achieve the bulk targeting, but the script stops at 500 locations. Is this the limit? Is there any way around it?

Thanks!

Katie

Hi kaite,

At present Adwords allow only 10,000 location targets (targeted and excluded) per campaign, including up to 500 proximity targets per campaign.

So, you have to start a new campaign with a location and its nearby location to achieve your goal.

I hope this helps.

Thanks and Regards

John Paul

Hi Katie,

Thanks for your post. As John Paul explained the limit is 500 (see here: http://goo.gl/obsPVw ) and the best solution is probably to create a new campaign. Although, you might want to post over on the API Forum to see if anyone there has experienced this before and has any suggestions. Here is a link to the Forum: http://goo.gl/aHlRB .

Hope this helps!
