Language and Location targeting not working

Visitor ✭ ✭ ✭

I've created some new campaigns for our products in Spain, and I've noticed that our ads were being displayed on websites that didnt match our location criteria, and this is not one particular case, from all websites we are being shown around 80% do not match the geographic and the language criteria selected in the configuration of the campaign. ¿Why is this? I understand that its possible for someone to be in Spain and search for something at in a different language website, but 80% of the cases that's too much.

¿Has anybody had the same problem? ¿How can I solve this without having to manually exclude all those websites?

Thanks,

Pablo

Hi Pablo,

Geo-targeting and language targeting are both based on the user's location and language setting, not the location/language of the web site.

Display Network campaigns take a lot of maintenance and work, excluding unrelated web sites is one of the repetitive tasks involved. Making managed placements out of well-performing automatic placements is another task you should perform frequently.

Best of Luck!
