Keyword insertion in the Display URL

I've set up an Ad Group with Keyword Insertion.

The ad headline is:

Buy {KeywordSmiley Frustratedomething}

And that works fine.  I'd like that same keyword to be in the destination URL, so I tried

http://www.mydomain.com/?c={KeywordSmiley Frustratedomething}

But that doesn't seem to work (I get errors in the Ad Preview saying my URL doesn't work... even though my landing page basically just takes the parameter C and spits that keyword back out.

Any advice?

Hi Osman,

You can't use DKI in the destination URL. Instead, use ValueTrack {keyword}. That will insert the keyword on which you bid that triggered the ad. Something like this:

http://www.mydomain.com/?c={keyword}

There is no default, it's not necessary. In a search campaign, there will always be a {keyword}.

Best of Luck!
