Is it still double serving if one account has no running campaigns?

Hello,

If i have an AdWords account with no running campaigns and an agency advertises for me from another account, does it still count as double serving?

Thanks!

Hi Iulia,

This will not be considered as double serving.

Double serving policy is applicable when 'advertisers run ads from different accounts on the same or similar keywords that point to the same or similar websites.'

As your initial account is not running ads, it will not be counted as double serving.

Well... I am in a slight disagreement with Deepak here.

Though, technically, both  campaigns (on the different accounts) have  to be active simultaneously, I would not take the risk.

I have seen cases in which due to a human error both campaign run simultaneously.

In addition, you don't know what triggers a violation, and since paused campaigns are checked, the system could  "find"  same landing pages on different accounts. The correct way is to have one account and link it to the agency you authorize to  manage the account.

Hi

I do agree with Moshe's view. But as both the accounts already exists (the earlier account and the new account which the agency runs) the only option remaining now is keeping the old account paused.
