I've uploaded an image sized 40.2 kb for my ad (which says 50 kb max) but it says image size incorrect.  Can anyone tell me why this is?

There's another thing that I discovered the hard way a couple of weeks ago....

If your ad has some white space, and if this white space runs to some of the edges of the ad - Google seems to get very confused. Add a 1 pixel border (not white!) around the ad - and see if that helps. Worked for me.
