I'd like to define new media for my paid search (ppc) campaign.
I execute a variety of campaigns like display, paid search, social, etc. Now I'm trying to create tracking URLs with Google URL Builder, to track banner & keyword performance on Google Analytics. I have some questions for this work:
[1. Campaign Term]
Google says this part is to identify paid search keywords, and I'm wondering it is OK to use non-alphabet characters such as Korean, Japanese, Chinese, etc. Google Analytics will show these language characters properly?
[2. Campaign Medium]
As medium name 'ppc' could be vague on my clients' end, I'd like to use other name like 'keywordsearch' to identify media more intuitively. But if I do this, above activity (paid search, in fact) is regarded as a 'campaign', which means the traffic is categorized as '(Other)', not 'Paid Search' on Google Analytics >> Acquisition.
I was told Analytics has some predefined media name like display, ppc, social, etc, and it is recommended to use these, but I'd like to add more new names (e.g. 'keywordsearch'), and set these media also could be regarded as 'paid search', not 'campaigns'. Can I do this?
