How to use pictures in non-product ads on Google search?

I recently saw an ad on Google search that included images and sub-pages. The add came up when I search "nasty gal" on the US site. Link is https://www.google.com/search?q=nasty+gal&oq=nasty+gal&aqs=chrome.0.57j60l4j59.2453j0&sourceid=chrom...

If this is not showing the same as I had, I took a screenshot here http://imgur.com/3rwwzNi

It appears that this is part of a very advanced ad campaign that include Display Network ads being integrated into Google Search in their style. Could anyone help me find out if this would be possible for a small online store to replicate (without a huge budget).

Hi Jack M,

The sub-pages are sitelinks extensions. If I didn't know any better I'd say the images are product extensions, but they are not. When I went back to the SERP the second time, the images were gone.

I can't tell now, but it looked like it was all one image with one link to the web site. The link was not tagged, neither auto nor manual. I have no idea what they are!

Had a thought, could this be a dynamic search ad?

Best of Luck!

Pete

They are image extensions. When they will be out of beta testing ( maybe 1 year from now ) they may roll out globally.

As far as I can see it ist the New Image Extension.

I read in the adwords blog :

More than one in six searches on Google today provide results with visual content. Image extensions will show in some cases when we determine that a search is likely for visual content.

You can choose the images that you want displayed with your search ads and send them to us for review. You must have the necessary rights to the the images you wish to display with your ads

Hello aravindh,

I have never signed up for a beta test so I do not know how it works.
You have the option to call google at their support number listed in the contact page here for more information (there is a link with local numbers for every available country ) :
