How to massively add cross negative KWs?

Hello!

Is there any excel, AdWords Editor or script way to add massively cross negative keywords between ad groups?

I don't want to add the exactly same keyword, but the difference, for example

I have two ad groups

Buy cheap smartphone

KW: +buy +cheap +smartphone

Buy smartphone

KW: +buy +smartphone

-KW: -cheap

But sometimes I have thousands of ad groups, and doing this manually causes errors and takes me a lot of time.

Have someone found a better way?

Thank you!

You could use Lists
Exclude keywords across campaigns with lists

Eric, I need to do it at ad group, not campagn level.
Also, I need to use only the word that makes the difference, as a negative. Not the whole keyword.

Thanks!

try this

Paste negative keywords into more than one ad group or campaign

Copy the negative keywords.
Select multiple destination campaigns or ad groups in the data view by pressing Ctrl (Windows) or ⌘ (Mac) when clicking the campaign or ad group name.
Paste the keywords into your ad groups or campaigns.

That would create a lot of problems and my ads wouldn't show for important search queries (ex: the ones that result from the combination of KWs).
And it isn't what I need to do...

Thanks!

Hey Luan, how are things?

Eric suggestions are the best ones to achieve the inclusion of negative keywords. You can also use Google Adwords Editor to bulk import/export this kind of information.

Other then those, you won't be able to add this without some effort and might have to rethink your account/campaign structure. This usually happens when you try to use one keyword per Ad Group. If that's the case, I personally don't find this necessary and it's very time consuming, specially for optimization.

Can you provide some more examples of your campaigns structure?

Hope this helps.

Unfortunately Eric's suggestion wouldn't work properly, let's look at this example:

Buy smartphone
KW: +buy +smartphone
-KW: -buy cheap smartphone
-KW: -buy samsung smartphone

Buy samsung smartphone
KW: +buy +samsung +smartphone
-KW: -buy cheap smartphone

Buy cheap smartphone
KW: +buy +cheap +smartphone
-KW: -buy samsung smartphone

If someone googles "buy cheap samsung smartphone" then we would be blocking that term, so our ads won't show.
One could say one solution would be to add that keyword then (buy cheap samsung smartphone), but if it turns out it is a long-tail keyword that AdWords considers it's low search volume, then this wouldn't work properly (or at all)

Yes, this is with one keyword per ad group structure. It gives me so much control that I prefer this method even if it takes me some more time to create a campaign.
I'm asking because maybe someone has figured out a way to do this quicker.

Thanks
