How to See ALL Keywords from Keyword Tool?

The Keyword tool excludes keywords that are already in an Ad Group in the account.  If you do Campaigns with different geo targeting or day parting you may have ad groups with duplicate keywords from other Campaigns.  Sometime you want to add some of these duplicate keywords at a later time based on traffic and competiion statistics show in the Keyword Tool.  But how can you get a complete list while logged into your account that also shows keywords already in existing Ad Groups?

Hi JC2

I am not sure I understand your question fully, but you can either...

... 1) use the search field in the upper left corner 2) arrange all keywords in an alphabetical list by clicking "Keywords" in the keywords-column, or

If you already have a keyword in an existing Ad Group in your account, when you use the Keyword Tool, it won't show that keyword.

Example: You have the keyword [rolex watches] in one of your ad groups. Go use the Keyword Tool, enter: watches, check exact match, check show only closely related matches. Search the list of suggestions. You won't find rolex watches.

I spoke with a Google Adwords Support Specialist and they confirmed this. They said the feature has been added to the request feedback to allow toggling of suppression of pre-existing keywords when using the tool. However if you go to add the keyword, it should only show you campaigns and ad groups that don't already have that keyword.

The way around this is to login under some other Adwords account that isn't using the same keywords.  (You could create a dummy account for this and not fund it.)

If you don't login under an account, it will limit results to top 100 keywords.
