How can I change the start date of my campaign if it already past?

I set up the start date for my campaign for today (September, 25th) but i want to change my start date to September, 29th. But since "it already passed" it is not letting me edit it. I had to pause my campaign but i nee dit enabled to review the suggested bids and if it eligible or low search volume.

Hi there,

As you rightly said, changing the start date that has passed isn't possible. I'd suggest the following steps to create a duplicate campaign with a later start date:

  • Download AdWords Editor (link here)
  • Download the account using AdWords Editor (steps here)
  • Copy paste the campaign (steps here)
  • Change the start date to Sep 29
  • Change the campaign name for your reference
  • Post changes

AdWords Editor is a free downloadable tool that helps you download campaigns, make changes offline and post it back to the account.

Hope that helps!

Alternately, you can enable the campaign and pause all ads in the campaign, so that keywords show the actual status instead of 'campaign paused'. Then you can review bids, make changes and enable ads when you want them to go live.

Hi Brizza,

You can go with the campaign setting that you want to edit the start date. then you would click on ad schedule - i could see the option of start and end date there..
