Why would product ads from our account have great positions on Google.com in the visual PLAs but have very low or no positions in Google Shopping.

Is there a different ranking algorithm for the two properties?

Hi Razor,

Thank you for your posting. Regarding your question about Google Shopping vs. Google.com PLAs, searches by potential customers viewing PLAs are as dynamic as other types of ads on both search networks. It really depends on the demographics of the user searching for your particular products. Below Iv'e included the description of each search network below. If you want to increase your ROI I highly suggest you consider using the Shopping campaign, a new campaign type for Product Listing Ads (PLA), streamlines how you manage and bid on your products, report on your performance, and find opportunities to grow your traffic from Google. You can find out more info from this link: http://www.google.com/ads/shopping/shopping-campaigns.html

Google.com/shopping

Search results on Google Shopping are built on Product Listing Ads. Shoppers can discover, compare and purchase products directly from your store.

Google search results

Product Listing Ads appear in their own box on Google search results above or to the right of organic search results.
