Hi,

 

We've got two different websites and each of them has the PLAs setup to the specific Google Adwords account it is related to. For one of the website's the PLA campaign work fine and we can achieve lots of click through's if we want. For the other the ads do not show up for any of the relevant products. 

 

We keep calling through to Google but no one there has the knowledge to assist.

We've been told multiple things that we all nknow are not the reason it is not working:

Price Per Click is too low - we have put our limit higher than our text ads but does not show

We're in an adult category (selling beer) - our text ads work and we have no issues there

We have two few products in our listing - we had more products but deleted them from the feed and re-uploaded a fresh feed in the hope that it would assist - searchinf for even the EXACT product description does not show the product

 

Please, please help!

how are the text ads structured with respect to the product-listing-ads?

"beer"
are both the account family-safe settings and
the adult attribute within the feed set correctly?

do both the website and feed meet all google policies
with respect to alcohol -- including all restrictions on
how the items are depicted.

 

does the registered feed's target-country allow the items?

"EXACT product description "
searching for your own ads (under google-shopping)
does not necessarily show what others might see --
what do the measurements and ad-preview within the account indicate?

"a fresh feed "
why weren't the items simply deleted and the feed re-uploaded?
what is the status of the feed, individual items, and account?
are the sites under a multi-client or separate merchant-center accounts?

"two different websites " ... "specific Google Adwords account"
if the two sites are under the same owner,
why are two adwords accounts being used?

what are the url's of the two sites and the exact feed data?

Here I am referring to the text ads for our website not specifically related to the product listing ads .

Where do you adjust these in the feed?

Yes

Even in Incognito mode these are not seen - I cannot see an adpreview for the PLA's - how do you get this?

Sites under seperate merchant accounts - 8 items active, 7 awaiting review

why are two adwords accounts being used?

Set it up this way in case down the track we looked to separate businesses

first, you're welcome.

 

(a) generally, text-ads and product-listing-ads
should be structured under separate campaigns.

(b) family-safe is under the merchant-center general settings (not the feed);

the adult attribute is defined under the feed requirements and specifications

(c) items under review will not be seen under the preview tool or incognito;

active items will only be seen if the physical inventory,
all feed data, and the website, all meet all google's rules,
match a product-target or group and have enough bid
and quality to win in the (product-listing-ad) auctions.

(d) regardless of how the business might be structured in the future, the
websites, ownership structure, and the (multiple) adwords accounts are
subject to adwords rules and policies as they currently exist.

(e) both the physical inventory items listed in the feed and the feed details
likely do not conform to all google-shopping and adwords (product-listing-ad)
rules and policies and will likely not be listed.

of course, google is the final arbiter of all such issues.
