Google Analytics - Remarketing List

Hi team,

One of my client want to promote a Mircosite via Google Adwords. The Microsite has got a form to fill up and few other articles  as CTAs.

The Remarketing plan put together by us is this: The users coming from various  sources to the micro site and ended up doing no form fill up or not read a full article has to tracked and collect as a remarketing list  in Google Analytics. And the same users will be imported to Google Adwords and target them by doing a remarketing campaign on various sites of GDN.

However; the challenge here is collecting the remarketing list of visitors who has not filled up any form or nor read a full article/ not scrolled down a page completely.  Theoretically, this can be done through Google Analytic’s, i.e we can create Goals or events and import the same to remarketing list. But, technically I need an Analytic expertise to do. As the objective is to collect t the visitors who has not done any engagement in site is finding difficulty.

Please advice.

Regards,

Gokuldas K

Hello,

Making a list of people who landed on a page but did not complete a form is not that difficult. You take the big audience which landed on that page and exclude the smaller audience which completed the form on the page assuming the form has a particular "thank you page" too.

About the scroll event part, you may find answers in this article

and also in the google analytics forum found here

The resulting audience can be in a form of "Custom combination " of audiences, and can be done in AdWords.

You can track visitors time on page if you use segments in analytics.

You can add a goal "anyone that didn`t get to thank you page", and after that add that visitors to remarketing.
IDK how to sort out visitors that which did not read all the page (maybe you can cover last part of text, add BIG button "click to read" and then add all visitors that didn`t access goals to remarketing.
