Is there a way to set up a Gmail ads campaign dedicated to smartphones?

If you target mobile devices in your campaign settings and then select the display network only, then select "placements that I select" only and put Gmail in there, that should do it.

Hi Arnon,

For that you need to target mobile devices in your campaign settings and after that add Gmail as a placement.

Steps:

Here's how you can add Gmail as a managed placement to your ad group:

  1. Select your campaign and ad group.
  2. Click the Display Network tab.
  3. Click the Placements tab.
  4. Click the Change display targeting button.
  5. Type "mail.google.com" in the text box.
  6. Click Save to add the placement to your ad group.

Guys;

Please note the user is looking for advertising on Gmail APP on a smartphone. ( Different from browsing Gmail using a full mobile browser).

The option of advertising on Android and IOS apps (downloaded from on the App store or from Google Play ) is relatively a new feature, available for about a month now, after the acquisition of AdMob by Google.

It is set a little differently than placements.
