A certain update was deployed on the servers, which broke Editor 11.1 in this way. And since this version is considered obsolete, there's not much interest in fixing it back. So at this point, your best (well, pretty much only) bet is to upgrade to the latest version.

As luck would have it, we have released Editor 11.3 just minutes ago. You should be prompted for upgrade shortly (in fact, you have probably been nagged for months now); or, download it at https://www.google.com/adwordseditor/

Have you tried downloading the newest version of AdWords Editor? https://www.google.com/intl/en/adwordseditor/

It looks like this error occurs if the given field does not exist in the current used Adwords API version. You can find a list of all possible fields for each service under this link: https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/selectorfields?hl=en#v201209
