Editor sets bids at 0.01

After upgrading from AE 10.2 to v. 10.4.1 I no longer get warnings when not setting bids. Instead, on posting Editor quietly sets default bids at 0.01. This is of course not very useful.

I contacted our AM at Google. The reply was that it is not a bug - it is a feature, and Editor works as intended.

- Does anyone know a work-around to get these warnings/messages back? Is my only option to "upgrade" to v.10.2?

- What is the latest version that still gives warnings/error messages when bids are missing?

- Where can I find older versions of AE?

Best & thanks!

Good morning.

I'm not aware of any "work-arounds" or of an authorized site offering older versions of AdWords Editor.

I don't think there's any way to avoid this new feature. Maybe you need to add double-checking bid settings to your pre-posting checklist?
