I stumbled on this topic while looking to target web pages for specific keywords. How does Dynamic Search Ads differ from just linking the search to a web page myself?

typically, dynamic-search-ads saves an advertiser from the following tasks:
- creating, or deciding on, which web-pages within the website to use for an ad;
- deciding on which keywords may be the most appropriate or relevant;
- creating ads or ad-copy;
- creating or updating ads, after a landing-page or website is changed.

rather, dynamic-search-ads use targeting options, submitted page-feed data,
or crawls of the website, together with google's machine-learning algorithms,
to, automatically, decide which information is relevant to a user's search and
then create the corresponding ad and ad-copy, in real-time.

dynamic-search-ads typically work best with larger websites with more content,
where most or all the pages are designed for, or suitable for, ad landing-pages.

a best-practice is to carefully monitor dynamic-search-ad performance and
related details, since this is more of a broad-brush approach to advertising;
the obverse, advantage, is saving the time and effort of creating individual

ads, from large data-sets of potential ads.

note that if a website changes too frequently, such that google
cannot process the website or submitted data properly or quickly
enough, then using dynamic-search-ads is not recommend --

for example, automated-deals or auction-based sites.
