Dynamic remarketing and recommendation engine

I have custom Feed for dynamic remarketing campaign (real estate) and all attributes in the feed are filled (e.g. listing name, Final URL, city name, description, price, contextual keywords, property type). On the website there is also data layer with custom parameters (listing_id, listing_pagetype, listing_totalvalue). How google recommendation engine chooses items to be displayed in banners?

Google says:

Property type: Optional | String. Any sequence of letters and digits. | May be used to group like items together for recommendation engine
Contextual keywords: Recommended | String list. Any sequence of letters and digits separated by ";" | If used this column will be used as contextual signals in the recommendation engine

For example I have these property types: flats and houses. And contextual keyword for each item is city e.g. London, Birmingham. If user visits page with flat situated in Londin, will Google engine display similar flats in London? Can google algorithm display houses in banners to users who only visit pages with flats?

 HI Pedro,

As, You have already uploaded the feed, so now, you can choose what you want to show in the Dynamic display Ads.

It depends on you what you want to show the Custom Variable in the display ads.

For example I have these property types: flats and houses. And contextual keyword for each item is city e.g. London, Birmingham. If user visits page with flat situated in Londin, will Google engine display similar flats in London? Can google algorithm display houses in banners to users who only visit pages with flats?

If you have a dynamic remarketing, so there is no need to add the Contextual keywords, as it narrow down your audience list in the campaign. In Dynamic Remarketing, e.g a user visited the property abc, which is situated in London, then s(he) will see abc property in the dynamic ads.

Where as If you want to narrow down the Impression, you can use the contextual keywords in the feed.

Hi Pedro,

The Recommendation Engine is a sophisticated machine learning algorithm that uses many signals to determine, for each ad impression, for each user, what are the best products to show. To do so, it uses a variety of signals, including, but not limited to, the 2 feed attributes you mentioned.
For example, if a user saw listing A, it might consider showing other listings that others users who viewed listing A have also viewed.
