Dynamic Search Ads and Microdata

Hi, I have a question regarding how DSA Campaigns use microdata - if I have a page with one item on it which is marked as out of stock using microdata will it be skipped by auto targets?

Hi John
I don't think so. DSAs don't do any further analysis than the page content and then they match it with a headline and ad text. No further logic is performed like it would with a data feed in Google Shopping.

Having said that, you might want to programmatically exclude those pages so that you're not wasting your budget sending traffic to them. Alternatively, you might want to block the crawler from crawling those pages once the item is out of stock.
