Does Google change an ad's landing page?

I was reviewing my Google Analytics data for the past 30 days and noticed an unknown landing page received 705 clicks for this date range.

The problem that I'm seeing is that the URL assigned to a specific ad is different than the landing page that ad drives traffic to when a user performs a search query on Google.

Have you heard of Google changing or adjusting an ad's landing page?

This is somewhat of an urgent matter.

Hi Craig, have you checked for Keyword level Destination URLs? They "trump" Ad level URLs.

No, it is unusual , but you can have a Google Suport Member look at your account via their contact phone or forms :

Thanks. I contacted Google.

The weird part is -- if you click the ad in Google AdWords, it drives traffic to the right URL and there's no other ads created for the Ad Group.

But every time I've clicked the ad on the SERP today, it has been the wrong URL.

Hello.

Can you paste the last part of the two URLs here (everything after the domain name)? Usually, if you have auto-tagging enabled, when the ad is clicked from a SERP, a click id parameter is appended to the regular URL.

So if the URL you enter in the AdWords interface is www.example.com/samplepage.html?cat=shoes, it will become www.example.com/samplepage.html?cat=shoes&gclid=xxxxxxxxxxxx

Awesome. Thank you very much.

Why I didn't think of keyword level destination URLs is beyond me, but it
certainly did the trick.

I would be more than happy to, but the Adwords forum hasn't loaded on my
computer since I posted my question.

It just says, "Connecting". I'll try loading in Chrome. I'm using Firefox.

Works in Chrome.

When I go to the forum in Firefox, it just says "The connection was reset."
