Display Network Only Not an Option

I have a 'Search Network With Display Select' campaign set up that is running on both the search and display network. I would like to seperate the search and display network and have a campaign for each (I want to be able to manage bids at the keyword level on the display network). My plan was to create a copy of the original campaign, so I don't have to start from scratch, pause the display network on the original and change the campaign type to display network only on the cloned campaign. The only problem is that Display Network Only is not available as a campaign type in the cloned version, only Search Network with Display Select and Search Network Only are. This option is available when I create a campaign from scratch, just not with the campaign already set up. I don't want to start over as I have several excluded placements, automation rules in place, and would like to use the same keywords (just with differnt max cpcs). Any advice on how I can make this work?

This switch is not available. You'll have to set the campaigns from "scratch".

Hi Lunnmover

Adding to Moshe's perfect answer, you can create a fresh campaign in Adwords interface and then copy the Ad Groups, keywords, excluded placements to the new Campaign with the help of Adwords editor.

My inputs!

Abhishek
