Display Ad Dimensions for Google Remarketing

I notice that there are a dozen size dimensions for display ads. If I want to create my own display ad rather than rely on the Google templates, do I need to create the ad to fit all dimensions? If I don't have display ads for certain dimensions does this mean that I will have less exposure to various ad networks or sites?

Hello Dean,

It is a good practice to have image ads in all dimensions in your remarketing campaign.

Because that will ensure your ads visibility irrespective of the ad dimension present on the site which is visited by people in your remarketing list.

Some websites will not allow image ads, but will allow text ads.

So it is also advisable to use text ads in a separate ad group in your remarketing campaign (thiis will help you to monitor performance separately and adjust bids accordingly).

Hi Dean,

Thanks for your post! I agree with Deepak on this one. You definitely don't have to add all ad sizes, but it will ensure optimal reach for your campaign. You could add a few ad sizes initially, and if you're trying to increase volumes at a later date, try adding a additional ad sizes.

Hope we've helped!
