Disapproved Ad: Landing Page Violation

Visitor ✭ ✭ ✭

I have been with AdWords for years and I still continue to get this problem every time I create a new ad although my ads have been working fine fo a long time. They deleted all of my old ads, so I can use those any longer. My domain name is www.lapisconnection.com and it points to my eBay store at http://stores.ebay.com/thelapisconnection via GoDaddy. Further info below.

FYI, the display URL has to match the domain where the searcher ends up after the click.  That is ebay dot com or stores dot ebay dot com.

That should work - less than 35 chars not counting the leading http:// and that is the actual domain used.

Hi LapisLee,

Using "www.lapisconnection.com"as the destination URL: is find and it allows your web logs to record the visit. You just need to change the display URL."http://stores.ebay.com/thelapisconnection" is too long for the display URL. The best you'll be able to do is "stores.ebay.com", as RBall recommended.

Or you could create a landing page on www.lapisconnection.com, with follow on links to your ebay store. I'd probably go the first route.

Best of Luck

Pete

Thanks. My display name is: "www.lapisconnection.com" and the URL it points to is: "www.lapisconnection.com" with the "http://" provided by Adwords in front. Maybe I need to change both to: "http://stores.ebay.com/thelapisconnection"?

Thanks. Let's see what happens this time.

The fact that those disapprovals say "Site Suspended" means there's probably something else going on in addition to the URL mismatch.  Typically it means that all ads pointing to that site are suspended due to violations of our landing page quality guidelines.

At first glance I can't see any landing page policy violations on your site, but I'm not an expert.  Perhaps one of the advertisers or other googlers here can spot something.  If nobody here can figure it out, please contact AdWords support by logging in to your account and clicking the Support link in the upper right.  They'll have access to your account and should be able to tell you the reason for the suspension.

It works! Thanks everyone. URL from Display and landing page must match and not be an in-between URL that just points to the landing page.

Thanks for letting us know!  I'm glad my suspicious about a landing page suspension turned out to be wrong and it was just a simple URL mismatch, because those are so much easier to fix.
