Custom affinity audience targeting competitor website visitors
I have a custom affinity audience list created. During the list creation process, when asked to "Enter interests and websites with content your audience likes", i added the urls of my major competitors. (My client is a residential builder, so i added the urls of other builders from my state).
So far the targeting works great with good CTR and user engagement..
But i would really like to know who actually will be added to that list? Will it be the visitors of my competitor websites the major audience in my list. (I am so happy if it is!!!)
Re: Custom affinity audience targeting competitor website visitors
These are not really the visitors of exactly those competitors, may the visitors of other competitors as well which even you have not mentioned.
Custom affinity audiences allow you to be incredibly precise and reach consumers likely to be interested in a specific product or niche interest.
Hope this example will make to understand better:
Custom affinity audiences: With custom affinity audiences, advertisers can create audiences that are more tailored to their brands, compared to our broad, TV-like affinity audiences. For example, rather than reaching Sports Fans, a running shoe company may want to reach Avid Marathon Runners instead. With custom affinity audiences, the shoe company can define this audience by:
using free form interests entered as keywords
and/or using URLs as a proxy for interest bundles.
Entering URLs establishes a theme that embodies the ideal customer. For example, we could determine that marathonrookie.com is about marathon running, training schedules, marathon nutrition, and other marathon topics, and therefore, reach people who tend to browse content about those themes whether or not they visit the specific marathonrookie.com site.
