Competitor Ad Tracking

Hi other than eye balling my Ads & guessing the key words i am bidding on, are there any tools or any other way that my competitors track what i am doing?

Hi James,

 

Welcome to the forum Smiley Happy

 

Talking specifically about what tools or reports you have in Adwords, you should review the Auction Insights Report. This gives you information regarding various metrics which includes average position, impression share, overlap rate etc... Based on those stats you can see where you are lacking in terms of competition and make the decisions to optimize your account.

 

Other than that, there are many 3rd party tools available on internet which includes spyfu, keywordspy etc...You might consider them as well.

Pankaj  is faster, In addition to his answer:

 

Analyze competition is a tool that presents advertisers their relative performances compared to other advertisers that  Google thinks   target /advertise  a similar business.

However, this is  only a general assessment / evaluation with reference  to many  other advertisers. It  does not give any indication of the performances compared to a specific advertiser.

Hello again James,

 

Talking about the Analyze competiton assesment feature which Google provides, it is clearly mentioned that all the data is anonymous as Moshe pointed also above. Competitors doesn't get the insights of what actually you are using in your Adwords accounts in relation to keywords, ads etc...

 

You might consider looking at the help files of 3rd party tools which I mentioned in my post (by visiting their websites). That could provide some more insights to you.

Thanks that is a really useful tool i didnt know existed!

Am i correct in thinking that whilst i and they can see my site stats to compare, they cant see my Ads and therefore which ones have a greater impact?
