Can One Adwords Account Run Ads to Two Domains?

I have two ad word accounts. Can I combine them so they become 2 ad campaigns on one account? They are both paid through the same bank account and are owned by the same person. They each have their own domain names and sites. I am trying to simplify when I manage the accounts, rather than sign out and sign in on the other.

Hello alsrvpark;

Well...This practice is too risky;

Though the accounts have two separate domains, they are owned by the same person; and charged to the same bank account.

We had a similar discussion where Laura from Google replied that :

  • >> Since they're the same business, no. He should not do this. There's a very high likelihood that the accounts would all get suspended. We'd probably catch this even if the billing weren't the same on the accounts, but the identical billing will be a huge red flag and make a suspension almost certain.

Hi alsrvpark,

I think Moshe is telling you that maintaining 2 AdWords accounts owned by the same person and both paid from the same bank account is risking a violation of the double serving policy, and I quite agree.

Yes, you can combine the 2 accounts-in fact, you really should.

Keep in mind that QS scores will likely change when you do combine the accounts. I would choose the best performing account and add the campaigns from the other account to it.

Best of Luck!

Pete

Hi,
Have you tried to create an adWords MCC? You can link the accounts and manage both using one log in.

Hi alsrvpark,

I would suggest you to just copy and paste the campaign that you want to move into one of the Adwords acount. You can do this in Adwords Editor in couple of minutes.

This way it will be a lot easier for you to manage both the campaigns from one Adwords account and there will not be risk of account suspension as well.

Let us know if you need any help further.

Hope this helps!

I have two adword accounts. I simply want to put both adword accounts on the main page as I guess two campaigns. They would still be separate adword accounts. It's annoying to have to sign out and open another adword account for each website/adword account.

@alsrvpark;

Again, having two AdWords accounts owned by the same entity (owner) is a violation of the double serving policy. You are taking the risk of being suspended, and not allowed to advertise with Google, anymore, for good. Don't take this risk!

Hi Alsrvpark,

Some good advice from the Community there!

If your websites advertise completely different products/services, you can keep them in separate accounts. In that case, I'd recommend following Leigao84's advice and creating a My Client Centre account. It is essentially a "master" account that allows you to you view and easily manage all of your AdWords accounts from a single location. More information can be found here

If your websites offer similar products/services, I would use AdWords Editor to merge the accounts into one in order to comply with our Double Serving policy. As MosheTLV has pointed out, it's very important to ensure you fully comply with our Double-Serving policy

I hope this helps!
