Hello!

I would like to know if is possible for me and not against any kind of rules advertising links that are not mine, in this case are my affiliates links.

I would like to use the commission junction site with adwords. Is this ok?

Hello wdp,

I would primarily suggest reviewing the following link as it's extremely useful if you are considering using AdWords with affiliate marketing -

http://support.google.com/adwordspolicy/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=45068

This second link also addresses the different URL policies AdWords has in place for affiliate marketers -

http://support.google.com/adwordspolicy/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=14844

Generally affiliate sites will give you a unique URL for the product you are attempting to sell but you have said, "advertising links that are not mine" so I'm not sure whether this will be a problem without seeing the URL. I recommend comparing your situation against the links above as you should be able to identify whether your comply with the policies or not.

Beside's Scott comprehensive answer, I must add (having seen many suspended advertisers on the former AdWords forum) that the responsibility for the website you're advertising is entirely YOURS, and if the site you're advertising breaches AdWords policies, your account will get suspended and it will not get reinstated unless you convince the site owners to become compliant with AdWords' policies. I do not know of one single case where a website has decided to comply with AdWords' policies because a suspended advertiser asked them to. My advice: think thrice.

thanks for your answer but excuse me: so you say that if I get banned I will only have my account back if the url I have advertised is adword compliant? I see no logic in that statement. Why I can't just remove that link from my campain and go on? thanks

thanks for the links but I've already read them. by saying "advertising links that are not mine" I mean: if I go with commission junction then you can accept to advertise someone, they give you a link. That link is not mine obviously. It's theirs.

Yes, if you get banned because of a violation of site policy by the site you're advertising, the ban will only be lifted (if ever) if the site you advertise becomes compliant. See the TOS: https://adwords.google.com/select/tsandcsfinder

You bear the responsibility for the websites you're advertising, which is why it is always better to have a certain control over them. If you don't control them, you risk.

Even if you withdraw the campaign now, it can still backfire on you later; that is, if the site owner chooses to change his website in such way that it violates the rules.

In the Dutch AdWords forum there was a discussion about this, and it was confirmed that you could be suspended for advertising for a website that is out of your control, and that Google not only looks at your active ads, but all  destination URLs in your account !!  http://goo.gl/mmvX5

The discusion on the Dutch Forum was more or less initiated by this post:
