Call extensions and location extensions can work together or independently. Both features let you add a phone number to your text ad so customers can more easily reach you. If you're using location extensions and have also included a phone number in your location extension, your ad can be shown with a "Call" button as well as a "Get Directions" link.
ExampleLet's say you own a chain of restaurants with thousands of locations across the country. To connect to hungry customers, you can let customers connect with you by phone or see directions to one of your restaurant locations, and direct those customers to the one nearest to them.
Keep in mind that non-standard cost numbers are available for phone extensions, but not for location extensions. By "non-standard cost numbers," we usually mean phone numbers that may not be included in a typical customer's phone plan and for which a call may incur additional charges.
If you have location extensions and call extensions enabled for the same ad, nearby customers will see a link to the address of your business as listed in the location extension, and the clickable "Call" button will connect people to the phone number as listed in the call extension.
