Call Extension visibility

Hello!

Just heard a "rumor", that you can dramatically increase the chance of call extension being shown on mobile device (not using Google forwarding number - important), if you leave only call extension with your campaign, and removing ALL other extensions.

How true that can be? Any confirmation we can get on the subject?

Thank you,

D

Hi,

In general, AdWords shows one or more extensions with your ad, so when you enable more than one extension for an ad, Google shows your highest performing and most useful combination of these extensions. Then if there is an extension or combination of extensions has a higher performance than your callout extension, they will have the priority to show with your ad over the low performance extensions.

So, having only one extension in your campaign, this probably increases the chances of showing this extension with your ads since it's the only available choice for Google to make when your ads are eligible for showing up with extensions.
