Business-Side of things: Putting together a proposal.
Good Evening (morning or afternoon) to everybody.
We´re just starting up. So excuse the lack of experience becoming apparent in my posts.
Is there a "standard" procedure on how to get started with a new client?
Client is interested and has either:
a) a clear idea of how many units they want to sell in a given timeframe (ideal and specific goals)
b) just wants to "start advertising with google adwords".
Would you agree for the following to be a worthwhile start into putting together a budget?
Questions to ask:
- duration of campaign
- units to be sold (plan)
- gross revenue per unit
- % of revenue alloted for advertising (incl. click-budget and managment/Setup fee)
taking all these numbers should allow me to calculate a max CPC and a daily budget.
is that way off? or at least a starting point?
How do i determine wether the max CPC i come up with is even close to realistic? (<>first page bid,.. how do i find out)
In general i feel like i am struggling with the business side of things.
can you point me towards conversations on the board, books or other resources that will help me get a leg up?
