Hi to everyone,

i'm stuck with a simple problem. What i need to do is:

  1. create a copy of all the ads contained in a campaign
  2. change the landing page
  3. upload the new ads as active and set the old ones as paused

At the moment i'm not able to do that, if i try i end up with the adwords editor "updating" the old ads.

Can someone tell me how to correctly do that?

Thank you very much

When i Did A/B testing with different domain I copied the ad groups.
then just edit the domain for all the ads in the new groups (https://support.google.com/adwords/editor/answer/56504?hl=en) and stop the old groups

It seems you are trying to do this via CSV Import or Add Multiple. You might need to adjust this setting:

You likely want to set it to "Create new ad if display URL or destination URL is different"

Only way to make this happen is to create a new ad group to support the ads which you're trying to copy. The variable in which Google would create new fresh ads is if you decided to change any of the content. In this case since you're not, Google just thinks you're making the simple switch of desintation URL which doesn't require new copy to be uploaded.
