Brand term ad appearing below organic listing

On our brand campaign our ads are appearing below the organic listings, even though there are no other competitors in the auction.

Can anyone explain why this is happening?

Many Thanks

Chris

Hello,

This is a beta testing for google, they want to place ads also bellow the organic results in the future so they are testing the CTR behaviour for these placements.

It is all about "creating the best user experience" .

It was also explained by a Googler here

Yes, could be due to the adrank = QS x MaxCPC , or a lower CTR than the organic top position , who knows ?

As Alys explained in the link that I gave you "At the moment it isn't possible to opt out of your ads showing beneath the search results.)"

At least in their blog post they said that only Right Hand Side Ads should appear at the bottom also from time to time.

There is rarely such thing as no competition , can your budget really cover 100% of all the daily searches ?

You must check values like Impression share and the results from the Auction Insights tool

Hi Chris M,

Here's the key. Only "side ads" will appear at the bottom of the page. In general, I only see my ads there when QS and bid are both low. You need a minimum AdRank to appear at the top of the page. If you improve the AdRank, your ad will be eligible to show at the top of the page. The question for you is, "Is the conversion rate for these keywords high enough you can afford a higher bid?"

Best of Luck!

Pete
