Block own company's IP

Visitor ✭ ✭ ✭

Hi there, for campaigns with small daily budgets, how can I prevent other employees in my own company to inadvertently click my ads, thus depleting my budget? Would excluding my own IP be the best practice? What are the implications, like: would I still be able to preview my own ads?

Thanks.

Hi Ricardo,

You can exclude Internet Protocol (IP) addresses by campaign so that all ads in that campaign are blocked from computers and networks associated with those addresses. IP addresses can appear in different versions, so make sure you use all versions of the IP address you’d like to exclude.
You can get all the details from the following link:

Hope it will help.

Hi Ricardo,

Welcome to AdWords Community!

Yes, excluding your company's IP would prevent your ads from being shown to your own employees. Doing so shouldn't have an effect on the Preview Tool, as it just shows a preview based on search term and location. More info about excluding IPs, with a similar example can be found here.

Hope that helps,
