Adwords Editor 11.1.2 Problem

ErrorinEditor.JPGI've been having this issue for a few days now and my colleague is experiencing it now too.

When I try to post my changes, I get an error after I confirm the post that I have "insufficient permission to posts changes" - I am the admin of my account.

I am then asked to log-in via the editor or browser and then it works OK.

Why am I having to do this every other time I post? Anyone else experiencing this?

Hey Amish,

We have been getting the same issue in our office.

This version of Editor is very disappointing to say the least. It's a real shame Editor 10 wasn't developed further.

Regards,

Ceri.

I agree, I was happy with the previous version. The new one has it's pro's but a few things that are not great such as copy and pasting negatives keywords across groups.

I got in touch with support specialist, will share the feedback I receive from them here.

Double-check the login email address you are signing into Editor with. NOT_ADS_USER means this email is not associated with any AdWords account at all.

Perhaps you have terminated access of this particular email, and added another login to the account. But Editor knows the account under its original email. In this case, export your unposted changes (Account > Export > Export whole account, choose "Account sharing snapshots (*.aes)" in Save As Type drop-down). Then remove the account, and add it back using the now-valid login email. Finally, import the exported snapshot to restore your unposted changes.

Hi!

My email address appears under Access Level "Administrative access" and I'm still able to make changes in Adwords.com all the time, it's only an issue I have with the Editor.

I've sent through an attempted change which failed for me to someone at adwords-support@google.com and they have told me engineers are looking into it.

It definitely seems like a bug as my colleague has the same problem and another user commented above that it happens to them.

Yes, my colleagues and I are also having the same issue, yet we have full Administrative access to the accounts under our MCC. It seems to have happened more often these last few days, and even occurs when working on an account consistently, as opposed to swapping accounts/windows etc.

I had high hopes for this version 11 of Editor, but I still maintain version 10 was a better product.

I see a bunch of NOT_ADS_USER errors in the logs, with a significant jump in number starting mid-day Monday or so. Looks like some kind of a server problem. Those responsible have been notified and are looking into it.

Yes I was advised to turn on my diagnostic logs as it will record this error. I'd say that it's been an issue for me for 1 week now so it must be something new.

Glad it's been identified and being worked on.

The issue is now resolved (actually, Tuesday night). You should not see that error anymore, nor be interrupted in the middle of a long upload. Do let me know if you still have difficulties.
