Ads show for queries containing a negative keywords

Hello Community,

I need advice.

I have a problem with the "free" word showing up in the search term report. I added it to the negative keywords in the shared library in broad (and phrase, just in case) match.

Although I still see queries containing it in my search term report. :/]

Please help. Why can this be and what can I do? The campaign is for an expensive B2B paid software and this is spending the budget on free app searches. Help.

Thank you.

Marta

Hello Marta,

are those negative keyword lists from shared library applied to the campaign?

Also make sure you are only seeing search term report from the period of time after you added negative keywords "free".

Hi Tomas,

Yes, they are added and I am making sure I am checking only the period after adding the keywords:/

Any other ideas?

Is the query over 10 words?  Or is "free" showing early in the query?
