Ad Change URL

I am debating changing one of my URLs on my website. However, one of my most popular ads has it as its destination. Will I come across any issues if I change the destination URL? I know the ad starts over, but will it take time to build up in popularity and ranking?

HI

1. From what i know you will get your QS and history back in few days after editing ad for new url

2. But if i was in your place i would have just done a 301 redirect from old url to new url. So I dont have to make any change in my ad destination url

Hope this helps

Thank you. With doing a 301 redirect, will that still give my new page 'credit' (or as we like to call it at work... Google Juice)?

Yeah 301 is permenant redirect and "juice" will be passed over to new page.

That will also help you maintain your organic ranks
