API, Dynamic Pricing & Inventory

Hello,

I was wondering whether anyone knows how to use the Google API to pause keywords that go out of stock.  Our inventory changes throughout the day and I want to pause keywords associated with out of stock products.  Is there a tool or Google API developer that may be able to do this? Of course, we would want to reactivate those keywords that go back in stock as well.

Also, does anyone know how to insert dynamic pricing and inventory into ad copy?  Again, this may be API or 3rd party tool.

I would appreciate some online resources if anyone has any.  This is kinda a tough topic to find online solutions for.

Hi Vikrant, I've replied to your other message so you should read these two together.

The API could certainly provide you with a method of dynamically updating Ads from a product database but it's not a task for a novice.  It will require extensive AdWords experience and an understanding of programming.  Note that the API is not a product in itself but is merely a way of interfacing with the AdWords system so you need to build all the tools you need to use.

You're probably finding it tough to find online resources because it isn't something that you can just learn from the Net.  I would say that any company that needs to use the API to run their AdWords is going to need a professional AdWords specialist to consult, build and manage the Account.

Thanks for your reply Jon,

The thing is, I am that Adwords Specialist.  I have a team of developers, highly skilled, at my disposal but they don't have Adwords API experience.  I know Adwords inside and out but I have little to no technical/programming skills.  Another problem is the 5-6 week waiting period to even register for the Adwords API access after the MCC is created.

Appreciate your responses.
