A note about IP exclusion

 Hi everyone,

I am just wondering about this note on the IP exclusion settings. It says, "You may still get some impressions and clicks from excluded IP addresses if a Google Network site doesn't provide users' IP information."

Having own sites and apps myself, I am not sure how it's possible to hide/protect users/visitors' IP addresses. If I am wrong, then in this case, how does this note really mean?

If anyone could elaborate, would be much appreciated.

Thank you,
Richard

Hi Richard,

What they are saying is that Google Search will be fine, but they can't guarantee that the IP exclusion will be in effect if your ads run on the Google Network - sites like eBay that Google do not control.

Thanks for your response.

I actually understand that part, however, I am just curious if it is possible for sites to hide their visitors IP.
