YouTube In-Display Ads not receiving impressions

Hi I am running two video ads, one is YouTube In-Stream and the other is YouTube In-Display. The In-Stream ad is performing well, however the In-Display ad has not received any impressions since it was launched a week ago.

I have contacted Google Support and they confirmed the campaign was set up correctly and should be receiving impressions, they sent it to be checked by the tech team and they also confirmed nothing is wrong with the ad, the set up and it should be receiving impressions.

They suggested increasing the bid and widening the targeting. I increased the daily budget to £20.00 and I increased the bid so the max CPV is now at £2.00 and still no impressions. I then widened the location target from North-West UK to entire UK, again no impression. Finally I removed the topics and interests and added even more keywords to increase the targeting. It is still not receiving any impressions despite the In-Stream ad having a lower budget, more narrow targeting and a lower max CPV and receiving thousands of impressions.

I have checked the keywords and currently there are no other ads showing for the majority of keywords.

Is there any other reason why this ad is not receiving impressions?

Thank you for any help given.

Hi Kerry R,
It sounds like you are doing the right things to start your campaign running. It could just be a case that you need to really increase the bid to get some traction on the campaign.

I would suggest getting back in touch with the AdWords Support team. We do not have access to your account or it's details.

I have received an email from them and they have sent it back to the tech team to have another look at it. Hopefully they can find out what's wrong.

Thanks

Im having the exact same problem... are you using radius location targeting by chance?

I'm having the same problem; in-display campaign approved and serving but not delivering any impressions at all. I have very broad targeting and a high max CPV but no luck.

This seems to be a big problem for a lot of people. I am experiencing the same issues. Did you guys figure it out yet?

My issue ended up getting resolved. There was apparently a portion of my
campaign that hadn't been approved yet and was hanging things up. Once I
got that sorted out I just increased my cpv a bunch until it started
serving.

Can you please provide more insight on what that "portion of your campaign" wasn't approved? and how did you figure that out? I am having the same problem. My InSearch/InDisplay is getting views and impression but "InStream" is not getting any views?
