My question is if someone searches on YouTube and my in-display ad matches the search but was placed in many pages after the main search result page, will that count as an impression?

Hi Richard, your ads impressions will only be counted if your ad appears in front of the user that is CPM has now written as vCPM where v= viewable.

Similarly in Display Ads, if you ad is below the fold and a user doesn't scroll down due to which user didn't come across your ad so the ad impression will NOT be counted. But if the user scrolls down or sees atleast 50% of the ad then you ad impression will be counted.

Hope this helps!
