URGENT - $1M daily budget and $5.00 CPV!?!

If the only KPI for a campaign that must end tomorrow night is to spend the budget. Would anyone recommend or warn against stress testing the auction with a $1,000,000 daily budget and an In-Stream CPV bid of $5.00?

This could backfire if the change is several folds  above current spend, because it might trigger a review and the campaign could be stopped.

Hi @Ryan V,

 

I've run some very accelerated YouTube campaigns and the potential is there to spend at significantly high budget levels.  If you had some time to plan, you could have strategically worked with Google to do a YouTube homepage takeover along with strategic TrueView & Discovery campaigns, even running bumper ads as well.

 

If you want to try to spend $1,000,000 today, have at it.  If the actual budget is less, set it there, from the sounds of this, people are lighting money on fire - I guess it doesn't really matter what you do.

EDIT:  Where are your reps?  If you really are working with budgets of this size, I would expect you to have some level of direct support.

Glad to announce that we have learned a ton with this effort. First the Bid Simulator showed our daily budget could be more....even with those high bids and daily budgets, the number one accelerator of spend was a +500% Top Content Bid Modifier maneuver.  We are not to our goal of spend yet but we are working on it.

Are you running all networks (YouTube, Display, partners etc...), all locations and all languages?  Also, if targeting isn't an issue, I would remove anything you have in there, that should allow you full run of network.

It had some restrictions we learned due to nature of the content so we were only on YouTube videos. But we did learn that the Top Content Bid Modifier is a great "turbo boost" to getting views.  Interesting reclassification of the inventory within the auction we'll learn to use to our advertisers advantage.
