visitor to lead conversion
Hi, can anyone suggest what conversion our site should aim to achieve, we are lead generators for the finance sector in the UK.
I'm currently estimating 10 to 30 percent.

It depends on many things such as:
- landing page quality
- how good your offer is
- the quality of the traffic
In general though, I would say 10-30% is an EXTREMELY optimistic estimate. Very few campaigns that I have run for lead gen surpass 5%, if that much at all. There really is no industry average that I can give you, but the vast majority of websites convert 0-5% unless the whole package is supremely better than normal standards (product offer, traffic quality, LP quality, etc...).
I do have one client who converts at 20% consistently but it's very rare to see that. Actually, in eight years it's the only time I've seen it.
