"Cross domain conversion" with no cross-domain tracking

Hi,

We have Ad group and advert with landing page on <domain_1.com>, the page takes the user to a webform on <domain_2.com>, will I still track the conversion on <domain_2.com> even though the person first arrives at <domain_1.com>?

Thanks,

Hi Oscar M,

That depends on how you so it. If you record the conversion using the AdWords conversion code, it can be on any domain and still work. If you record the conversion using Analytics goals, clicks, or any other action, you'll need to implement the cross-domain tracking on domain_1.com. This sends the gclid of the click in the query string along with other form or link data domain_2.com.

You'll need to do a little research on how to set up both sides of cross-domain tracking. I'm a bit behind on the current versions and how to get it done.

Best of Luck!
